A professionally produced wedding video is among the most important services for modern brides.

Once the poor cousin of the more traditional photographer, wedding video specialists are now recognised as being a vital part of the day. Young couples these days realise the value in having a moving, speaking record of the most important day of their lives, and plan their weddings with video in mind.

A survey* conducted several years ago for WEVA (Wedding and Event Videographers Association) International found that 54% value video as among the top 10 most important bridal services. That figure jumps to 79% AFTER the wedding, as brides look back and assess the individual value of each service. Before the wedding, 23% of brides view video as a Top 5 service. After the wedding, that number climbs to 42%. The value of video becomes greater after the wedding.

When choosing a video producer for your wedding, trust your eyes and ears, and your instincts. Look at the quality of the images, listen to the soundtrack (ask to hear portions of actual recorded sound during the vows and speeches).

Just because your mate or your uncle has the latest high tech camera does not mean he has suddenly acquired decades of production experience. Out of focus, wobbly, badly exposed high definition is still as unwatchable as 30 year old, out of focus wobbly VHS.

On your wedding day you will spend hours on your hair, makeup, jewellery and of course the dress, with the sole aim of looking at your very best. In fact, you will likely never look this good again!
